Korea Science & Engineering Fair (KSEF)
Propose innovative solutions to various issues facing humanity
What is KSEF about?
In your KSEF you will write a research paper based on your own research in your chosen area of STEM or humanities.
Your work should focus on one of the following areas:
Natural Science: Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Earth Science
Applied Science: Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science and Applied Biological Science
Converge Science: Social Science, Environmental Science, Humanities & Cultural Arts, Innovation & Design (including UX design)

What work is involved?
You will work for several months (typically between 2 and 6 months) to
come up with an issue worth exploring: a well-scoped research question concerning a social, environmental, or scientific problem,
conduct your research, which should involve experimentation, data analysis as well as literature review,
write a research paper of up to 10 pages, as well as a research abstract of up to 250 words.
Am I eligible?
KSEF is open to all students between years 5 and 12. There is no limitations on nationality or location of applicants. Alternative school students, home-school students, general equivalency diploma preparation students, and college entrance preparation students are also eligible. For KSEF, you can team up with up to 2 other students.
When can I apply?
17 December 2024 is the deadline for the 2024 international edition of the KSEF.
How will

help
We will guide you every step of the way:
Ideation: you will brainstorm and discuss your ideas with your Ariton mentor.
Expert technical training: you will work closely with your Ariton mentor to learn about different techniques relevant to your research, including data analysis methods.
Mentorship: an experienced Ariton consultant with years of academic research and innovation experience will be working with you on a weekly basis. Our mentors previously published research papers in international journals, headed complex projects for international corporations and led teams to successfully compete in the science competitions.
Coaching sessions: from ideation to extensive draft reviews, your Ariton mentor will be with you every step of the way.
Project management: there is a lot of work involved in completing KSEF research paper, and it will be your Ariton mentor's priority to ensure you stay on track.
